random rambling

It's winter in Illinois
And we right in the middle of the alleged storm
That's supposed to start tomorrow
So the husband and I went to Super Target
Just to get a few items we need in case tomorrow is too crazy to go
And boy was  it wild in there
I guess everyone else got the memo that the world was coming to an end
There were completely empty sections of the grocery portion
People were running around frantically to get the last whatever
It was Y2K like

Today at my job they re passed out the phone tree
In the instance that school cancellation calls need to be made
They cancelled after school for tomorrow and Wednesday
But made mention  that it would be back on Thursday
My husband's job that caters to elderly clientele
Is cancelled till next week

And the randomest thing of all is that this is Chicago
Things never shut down for bad weather
So I  have half a hope that it might actually snow
And we might actually get a snow day
But my rational mind is saying it never happens
We may get 19 1/2 inches but somehow because of
Planning ahead schools will still be open
Only time will tell
