Yay for the weekend
Winter is wearing on us all
But this morning the fresh snow was so
I don't know the right word
But it was just that feeling
There is something so peaceful about snow covered branches
We went to the Auto Show
There is this Nissan Murano Crosscabriolet
It was very unexpected but attractive
A convertible SUV
The husband thinks we should get one
We have one vehicle that will need an upgrade within the next few years
But we already have a new Murano so ...
We've also been discussing pregnancy moreso lately
It's an exciting concept
It's a life changing concept
I think we are both at the place
Where we want to increase
It's a little nerve racking though
So I read Grow It by Chicoro
I am pretty sure it's the best hair book I've read
Especially since midway through my natural journey
I read some good books at the beginning
And that's been my problem
I haven't found any good hair books
For women/girls after the early stages
So this book though transcends stages
My mother recommended it to me
She is about a year in her natural journey
And she enjoyed it and found it beneficial
I feel likewise and am 8 years along in my journey
So back to the meat of the book
Chicoro gives 6 steps
Detangle - Cleanse- Condition - Moisturize - Protect -Growth
She clearly explains what each of these steps entail and ways to make improvements
I feel that I have healthy hair that grows quickly
But I plan to make some changes because
I don't feel like I have anything to show for 2010
(in regards to hair growth)
I got a major trim/cut in August and then another in January
Together they approximately totaled 6 inches
And that's a year's worth of growth
So I am going to monitor my growth
And pay attention to detangling and moisturizing
I also plan to document length and health with photos
But I definitely recommend this book
