small step: devour the WORD daily

So yeah my ipad is random
Last night I checked just because and the rest of the note was there
So here's the  rest of yesterday's  daily WORD

Romans 12:1
v. 1 I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God that you present your bodies as living sacrifice holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

What does beseech mean anyway?
Miriam Webster www.m-w.com states to beg for urgently or anxiously and to earnestly request
So Paul isn't thinking it might be a good idea or mildly suggesting it. He is trying to highlight the urgency and the expectation.
Reasonable, it can't be any clearer than that.
It's not too much to ask!
It is what it is and the sooner we realize that the better.
When someone speaks urgently we usually respond with equal intensity.
When someone speaks urgently and the task is difficult, we still respond and do our best.
When someone (boss) speaks urgently and tells us it's our job we do it regardless of the difficulty or imposition.
What's the difference here?
God is our ultimate authority as well as our ultimate source for everything.
So what's the big deal about being a sacrifice?
Aside from selfishness, stubbornness, fear, rebellion, I can't see why we would have a problem.
Who knew the biggest hindrance between me and God, is me.
This book keeps pointing back to faith.
If I really believe God's got my back I shouldn't stutter or stumble with His requirements of me.
