It's a beautiful cloudy starry night
It seems like a contradiction
But as I was driving and praying and processing my day
It all made sense
That I can have the sweet overwhelming comfort of peace

But I have some ear candy
I bought a new cd last Saturday

It's refreshing and bright
It seems like gospel music has it's all-stars
And they reign and rule
And there stuff tends to sound the same after time
I mean I love some artists
But sometimes when they branch out it's rubbish
So a time comes when you need something new
And forever Jones brings something

who knew
I have not been doing the best at posting lately
We have been traveling and super busy
We went to Dallas last weekend which was fun but added to the craziness
Since it was a quick fast long weekend road trip
I have been utilizing Chicoro dangling methods on my hair
She also mentions taking more pictures of your hair
And now that is making more sense
Because I was having a random day when I thought my hair wasn't retaining much length
Then last Thursday at my parents house
I saw of picture of me in 2008 with a braid out fro
Well the day I saw the picture I was wearing a wash n go
Which just so happened to be longer
Yes it's been 3 years but my hair has superhuman shrinkage
And I know if I do a braid out it will be past my shoulders
So I realized that the picture idea is genius
It helps you to see what's really going on
But now I would like to get box braids to wear for a month or so
At this very moment by hair is in what I call the African royalty style
I got lots of compliments it was called a fauxhawk
And I was told that I looked like a dinosaur by one 5 year old
I did a roller set for the purpose of stretching my hair
And then ran it through a low setting on the blow dryer the next a.m.
I also went to this Health Fair/Bizarre thingy today
I got some amazing jewelry
I have been looking for the something unique and beautiful
I found a local artist who has read my thoughts
I bought a pair of earrings, bib necklace, and pin

Why when it's definitely still winter like in Illinois?
Because I washed my hair Sunday and decided to deep condition
With the Shea Moisture mask
But then we had meetings after church and then we went to Whole Foods
And then Monday came and went
And then this morning I was like um yeah
I totally loaded in this deep conditioner which has now been on my head
WAAAAAAY longer than the recommended 30 min
So I rinsed it out and decided that since I had 15 min to leave the house
To just shake and go
(But first I used the T-shirt method to get excess water out)
So I love my hair today
That trim gave me some nice shape
I got lots of compliments today as well
The funniest was this 1st grader who told me he liked my "ashro".
I tried to correct him but he let me know "ashro" is how you say it.

Family is extremely important to the husband and me
There is this juggling act that is essential once you form your own new family
Have a birth family and in law family
Of course I love my birth family
I have great parents and great relationships with my siblings
My husband thinks my family is unique that the sibs get together
And call each other frequently
His situation is different
A couple individuals in my fam are weighing heavily on my heart
I want the best for them but they just don't seem to want to choose it for themselves
I've tried everything I know to do
But now I am going to commit them in prayer
I have been praying but I am talking about
Intercession focused and consistant prayers
Hey even discussing prayer lightens the load
On the other end of the spectrum
The husband and I have been discussing bambinos
We think we are at a place to enlarge our tent*
(that's a reference to Isaiah)
So we shall see how and when the Lord moves
I am excited though
